Over the past 25 years of teaching I’ve always cherished teaching beginners, intermediate, and advanced players and have loved watching their skills develop. However, if you wan to be deemed a “Real Golfer” you must pass the following test.
You might not be considered a „Real Golfer” if….
You buy a right-handed glove because you are a right-handed golfer. (Right-handed golfers wear a glove on their left hand)
The sales sticker is still on you golf clubs when you go to the first tee.
You drive off in the golf car and you bag falls off on the ground.
You hit your bucket of practice balls off the chipping green.
You mark your ball on the green with the marker from your golf glove.
You arrive at the course with the bag cover still on your golf bag.
You tell you friends that you are going to shoot some golf this Saturday
You start the round with 14 clubs and finish with 11.
You’re the only one left hitting golf balls on the practice range during a lighting storm wondering where everyone went.
Someone asks you to play a round and you think their hitting on you.
If you have committed any of the above golf „No-No’s” you will not pass Go and collect your „real golfer” identification card.
So, next time you are on the golf course, watch carefully for these signs. You may not be playing with a „Real Golfer”! And, if you are committing any of these errors – run out to your nearest PGA professional for lessons and review „how to be a Real Golfer”
