1. Introduction - Demonstration
Champions Tour Professional Jim Dent and PGA Tour Instructor Rick Bradshaw will outline the clinic adventure and put people at ease immediately. Our goal is to have every one of your clients understand the secrets to achieving the "Breakthrough To Power" Golf Swing, and improve swing and shot making skills significantly!
Rick Bradshaw will present a clear and concise explanation of how the tour professional's golf swing works and prepare clinic participants to Breakthrough to Power, control and accuracy with a golf swing they have always dreamed of having.
Rick's demonstration includes:
Driving the golf ball over 300 yards with one hand on the club.
Driving the golf ball 300 yards with whippy antenna shafted golf clubs.
Jim Dent will then demonstrate his legendary swing with sand shots, pitch shots, medium, and long shots and thunderous drives up to 400 yards. At age 61, Jim Dent is still among the Longest of the Long! Jim's swing demonstrates the genuine quality of the Breakthrough to Power Golf Swing. His shots have tremendous length, and his swing shows what one can achieve with effortless power not powerless effort!
2. Clinic Instruction - The secrets to achieving the Breakthrough to Power Golf Swing
Rick and Jim will personally teach every participant the "absolutes" of the Power Swing. Absolutes include:
Pivot of Power: Body rotation and feet and leg resistance.
Reactive hands, arms, and shoulders: Lightness and quickness responsive to the pivot.
Rhythm, Tempo and Timing: Allow club to accelerate through and past the ball, not at the ball! Don't hurry!
Focus your mind: Be mindful not thoughtful.
Remember, "The most difficult thing about learning golf is the ability to distract your mind from everything except the feeling of what you are about to perform!"
Percy Boomer 1942.
These four absolutes when achieved eliminate all previous swing flaws and pave the way to achieving the principles and techniques of a Tour Professional's Golf Swing.
Breakthrough Training Drills that will absolutely teach the feel to all clinic participants!
Feed the Alligator not the Giraffe: Teaches you to take the club back correctly on perfect plane and path, and then swing it back down square into the back of the ball.
Tyrannosaurus Rex Drill (Big legs little arms): The secret to a powerful pivot through the use of the legs, with reactive hands, arms and shoulders.
The Dead Rabbit Comes Alive (Towel Drill): Teaches tremendous club head speed through the conservation of angular momentum.
The Quick Sand Drill: Distance through leg resistance and trunk rotation.
The Cane Drill: Teaches a wide sweeping assault into the ball with the body and legs.
The Lumberjack Drill: Emphasizes the feeling of power through impact.

5. Refreshments and the "Tour Experience Dinner"
Thirty year PGA Tour Professional Jim Dent and PGA Tour Instructor Rick Bradshaw have amassed some of the most interesting golf experiences imaginable. Your clients will treasure these stories told by Jim at the Tour Experience Dinner.

The clinic not only teaches the mechanics of a sound golf swing, but also the feel of a sound golf swing. This concept was first presented in Percy Boomer's 1946 classic, On Learning Golf. This book still remains the best golf instructional guide available. (There is also an audio cassette version available.)
